In 2020, The Ohio State University Libraries launched the inaugural Student Employee Scholarship Awards, which recognized student employees who demonstrate exceptional creativity, originality and enthusiasm in their work. Five students were selected from a pool of applicants based on a personal essay detailing how their employment with University Libraries has led to personal and professional growth.

After serving on the review committee for these awards, I also had the pleasure of interviewing the scholarship recipients and writing articles about them, which were posted on the University Libraries website.

The stories were shared to the website and to University Libraries’ social media accounts the week of April 12 – 18, 2020 in celebration of National Student Employment Week.
